I told someone at work today that if I were to get pregnant tomorrow I would continue with the pregnancy and give the child up for adoption.
They proceeded to tell me that’s impossible and I wouldn’t be able to give it up. Then told me if I didn’t want it, it was selfish to grow it and that I should just abort it. She said “if you didn’t want to scrape it out of you, then take the responsibility and keep it.”
I’m all for girls who choose to terminate pregnancy. But today, after getting ridiculed and called a “delusional and naive teenager” I don’t understand why my choice isn’t the right one. Isn’t the point of pro-choice to support what a girl chooses? I’d choose to give the life I made in my womb to someone who could take care of it properly.
People never cease to annoy/ amaze me.
